We host regular poetry/ spoken word and creative writing events. The interplay between the more visual arts and word/ literature based arts is fast becoming an interesting feature of the café. As well as events we are keen to develop more impromptu opportunities for poets and spoken word artists. Feel free to give us a shout if you’d like to set something up… a workshop, a reading, a story-telling session, a writing group. We are more than happy to try and facilitate your proposals and ideas.
Hosted by Callum and Melissa Bate of Prime Poetry, Stirchley Speaks is a monthly poetry and spoken word evening on the first Tuesday of every month (7.30-9.30pm, doors 7pm, tickets £3). It has featured speakers and open mic slots and always delivers an interesting and entertaining evening of poetry and spoken word performances.
Please email email@example.com to reserve a seat or an open mic slot or for further details.
A creative writing lunch! Crunch is a free drop-in creative writing session from 12 to 2, every second Wednesday, with fun and inspiring creative writing activities for all.
