Write Out Loud, March 2016

A space where budding poets and artists can pop in for a coffee, meet like-minded folk, exhibit their work, and put on events. There’s poetry, art, and photography on the walls – all of it by local artists, and all for sale – an exhibition space that doubles as a performance space for poetry events, and even a small studio. What more could you want from a cafe?

P cafe is the sort of tea room everyone needs at the bottom of their street – good service, friendly staff, excellent quality food and the feeling you are part of, and contributing to, the community. Do not pass by P Cafe; in fact, go out of your way to try it.

‘This is such a fantastic cafe; great coffee, delicious sandwiches and a large range of mouthwatering cakes. It has a relaxed atmosphere, background music playing, interesting art to look at and purchase and plenty of books to read. There’s regular events to keep an eye on too! Definitely worth a visit!’

‘The frontage is not something that would grab you unless your a ” Ooo what’s in here” type like me. Then your curiosity pays off a delicious coffee house with an eclectic decor. I’ll be back so should you the coffee is real quality as is the cake.’

‘My wife and I popped in after spotting this recent addition to Stirchley. We both agreed that our coffee was one of the best we had for a long time. We also had some really tasty sandwiches with exceptional (homemade?) rolls. Very friendly staff and ambience. The artwork and theme gives this cafe an interesting edge.’

Why go to a generic Starbucks or Costa when you can can go here. Laid back ambience with friendly staff. A real community feel with changing art on the walls which can be purchased. We had sandwiches made with locally produced bread from loaf in stirchley along with excellent coffee and cake!

Plenty of parking on the side roads and even the pershore road has an hour of free parking.

Delicious coffee in this intriguing new cafe which displays work by local artists and holds poetry evenings amongst what seems to be a developing range of interesting events. Staff really friendly and seemed sincere in their ambitions to get to know the local community. We only had drinks, which included what my daughters considered to be excellent hot chocolate chosen from a varied menu of hot chocolate varieties. This alone makes a visit worthwhile. However the cakes and sandwiches looked really delicious and it was great to note that this cafe is supporting the local artisan bakery which supplies the breads and buns for their sandwiches. This area is gradually changing and this cafe has the potential to make a great contribution to local regeneration and to the sense of community.
